Grrar!
So I just had the weirdest dream ever this morning. Seriously. Normally, I wouldn't bother sharing my dreams, since most of them are bizarre, sexy, tame, or some combination thereof. But this one deserves mention.
I was dreaming that I was arguing with my younger brother about something (unfortunately I don't remember what it was now). He was pissing me off, so I attempted to hit him. In real life. My hand hit the desk nearby, and I was swinging pretty hard, so now I have a fairly sore left hand. Wow, that's the worst physical manifestation of a dream I've ever had. Ever. :(

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots gets stuck - lameness.
I bought this game for my PS3. When it started, the game appeared to freeze at the very first screen, where it tells you not to turn off the PS3 while the HDD access light flashes, and you have to press the 'x' button. Nothing I pressed worked.
I found this AVForums thread where other people had a similar problem. Turns out I had the Guitar Hero dongle attached as well as a remote control, and the result was my game controller wasn't controller #1. That is so stupid, it should work with any controller.
Oh well, here's to a gaming binge! This game looks pretty freakin' sweet! I've also ordered Overlord: Raising Hell for PS3, which releases on June 24th. I played the original Overlord on Xbox 360 when  lasmori lived with me. It should be pretty freakin' sweet too.

Stupid thing...
So, I enabled a feature in OS X unintentionally. It caused these weird borders to appear around anything I had selected, like "Macintosh HD" in this screen cap.
Turns out, this is part of the "Universal Access" voice-over functionality. I must have somehow hit Command-F5 to enable this at some point in the past few days. Other symptoms: Firefox will leave behind an outline where the popup dialogs appear, and the apple & finder menus will have several duplicated items. Seems to me this particular feature isn't very well tested or thought out... it sure was annoying.
